Music Minor

Wayne Johnson Teaching

Are you a musician with an interest in developing your music skills and knowledge while pursuing a major other than music? Regardless of your major, SPU’s Music minor offers a rich and rigorous education in the music arts.

Benefits

A minor in Music will provide you with the foundations of music-making — including theory and aural skills — as well as with a deeper understanding of the history and performance of music. As a Music minor, you take lessons on your primary instrument, join a choral or instrumental ensemble, and become part of a strong community of musicians. Through a series of skill-building classes and experiences, you will grow in your musicianship and knowledge.
